Lazise Lake Garda history Town
Lazise Lake Garda's historic town is located in a position south east of the Lake. The City of Verona is about 12 Miles on east, and in the same direction there is Venice, about 75 miles away.

The name Lazise derives from the Latin “lacus” that it means lacustrine village. Lazise in fact was inhabited territory from the Age of the iron, numerous they are the rests of stilt houses recovered in the area.

As a result of recent discovery of a thermal water source, in the near frazione (municipality-subdivision) of Colà there is a splendid thermal park in a villa of the '700. Other Lazise Villas:

Villa Pergolana, at the end of the lake promenade in Bardolino direction, was constructed in 1800 in rinascimentale style in the site of an ancient monastero and includes the churc of Saint Maria delle Grazie, constructed in the XVI century.
