Torbole,
"Windsurf Paradise"

Torbole is a nice Village situated on the north-east Shores of Lake Garda, on the feet of Mount Baldo (Monte Baldo).

Thanks to its windy position and to the fact that motorboat navigation is not permitted, it is a windsurf, kite surf and sailing international Center, popular around the World between sport passionate who consider this place a water sport Capital.

In 1786 J.W. Goethe wrote about its extraordinary winds, "a wonder of the Nature, a charming show". The sure most evocative part it has conserved the original aspect of the small village of fishermen and boatmen been born in the farthest centuries.

A really picturesque corner is its small port with tipical building of the old Custom (sec. XV): here there was the border between Italy and the Austrian-Ungarian Empire until the end the first World War(1915-1918).
