Torri del Benaco, charming Village
Torri del Benaco is a nice fascinating medieval village, built around its little port, with old Lake Garda fishermen traditions.

There are ancient buildings like the Scaligeri Castle (sec. XIV), where now there is the local Museum.

The tourist development trasformed the fishing village in one of the most exclusive destinations on Lake Garda with famous guests like Andrč Gide, Stephen Spender, Laurence Olivier, Maria Callas and many more.
The climate is mild with its Mediterranean vegetation, olive trees are growing at an height of 400 meters over sea level, down to the lake.

In the town center some diggings have carried to the light stilt houses, historical stone traces and ceramic objects of age of the bronze (second millenium b.C.).Other testimonies of great interest are some rupestri recordings representing armed swords and warriors. In the first century b.C. happened the roman conquest and the first construction of the Castle tower on the lake shores.
